EU-Project start “CultureShake”

A multilingual learning project focusing on Shakespeare

CultureShake (CUSHA) is an intercultural and multilingual learning project with partners from Sweden, Slovenia, Germany and the United Kingdom.

The project CUSHA creates and tests innovative learning methods and multilingual lesson material, focusing on two of Shakespeare’s works; “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “The Tempest”.

The material will be made available as online resources. All partners involved are able to bring in their expertise from different fields. Such as culture theory, theatre pedagogics, didactics of multilingualism and information technology.

The project is lead by Dr. Annette Deschner (University of Education, PH Karlsruhe) and supported by Erasmus+.

Other cooperative partners include the Friedrich-Wöhler-Gymnasium of Singen, the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, the Stiftelsen English School of Gothenborg in Sweden as well as the University of Primorska, Slovenia.
